The
Hospitality Center is a set of boxes built like those for Formula
One or Motor Cycle Races. A different style of watching the Samba
Schools Parade, side by side with the VIPs that attend the HCs supported
by the carnival sponsors, Liesa (the Samba Schools Association)
and Coca-Cola. |
|
 |
 |
 |
It
is located next to Sector 2, close to the famous BRAHMA’s
boxes, and is perfect for serving companies and enterprises. Its
total area corresponds to 132m2 and it can hold up to 100 people
each day. Since it is located near the percussion set’s First
Retreat, the gaiety is constant because it is right in the middle
of the place where everything happens in the world of samba. The
HC also has an exclusive lift that takes the parade participants
straight to its starting-point. |
|
|
|
To
the right, there stands Sector 2 and, in the background, one can
see the Apoteose. Pictures 3 and 4 show clearly the HC’s
location on the Avenue. |
|

To
the left, one can see the HC still under construction and far
back, past Sector 1 (at the right), Avenida Presidente Vargas,
the parade’s starting-point. Facing the Hospitality Center,
Sector 3 is located. |
|

It
is by Avenida Presidente Vargas that the samba schools come into
the Sambodrome. To the left, Sector 1 can be seen and to the right,
there are two pavillions built for the supporting crews in charge
of providing infrastructure for the event. |
|

To
the right, one can see the HC decorated with flags near its completion.
The street next to the HC is Rua Benedito Hipólito, where
the percussion set makes its First Retreat. |
|

Partial
view of the HC. To the right, one can see Liesa’s HC; in the
middle, Carnaval Turismo’s HC and to the left, Coca-Cola’s
HC. |
|

|

The
HC is 132m2. In the picture, one sees Carnaval Turismo’s HC
ready to receive eight individual parties of 12 people each. |
|
Each
12-people box is 7m2. Since they are separated by very low partitions
and each one of them has four different levels (1m high), the view
and the comfort are complete. At top left, the HC’s private
toilet facilities for ladies and gentlemen. |
|

The
whole HC is air-conditioned by an exclusive “flash evaporation”
system, which keeps the room cool all night. |

of the boxes separated by the cushioned partitions that provide
the guest with a different style on Marquês de Sapucaí. |
|

At
the top of the HC, besides the toilets, there is a lounge room for
resting with lighting, TV, bar and buffet service. |
|
An
attentive Carnaval Turismo staff including guides, receptionists,
security guards and samba dancers remain with the group all night. |
